The US has resumed imposing 25% tariffs on some Chinese goods!

On July 6, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) released a list of the sixth batch of goods that were exempted from additional tariffs, and only 12 of them were extended.

There are 110 items on the original $34 billion tariff exclusion list, valid until July 9, 2020. The new list decides to extend the validity period of exclusion from July 9 to December 31, 2020.

Products that have not been extended will be removed from the excluded list after the expiration date of 2020.7.9, that is, the period from 2018.7.6 to 2020.7.9 can be exempted from additional tariffs, but the additional 25% of tariffs will be resumed from 2020.7.9. Enterprises exporting to the US must carefully sign contracts with US customers after July 9.

Exporters of related products must be careful to sign contracts with American customers after July 9.
